The Major · Day 7 of 9
Sunset Triplets and a Shadow Sixteen Shots Long
Three players post 26, and none of them is the runaway tournament leader—who stretched the gap anyway.
Sunset Triplets and a Shadow Sixteen Shots Long
Savanna delivered a dead-heat masterpiece under the acacia glow, with The bandit, Brendo, and Rambidextrous all signing for a 10-under 26. The scoreboard tie is so perfect it feels like the course itself planned a little sunset ceremony. The bandit, already so far ahead they might need a telescope, nodded politely and extended the tournament margin to sixteen shots anyway—because why not.
Miko climbed into second place overall, a move that in any normal year would be the headline. Here, it’s a dignified footnote to the ongoing study of one player treating par like a minor suggestion. Two rounds remain in the Major, which is just enough time for the rest of the field to compose a very nice toast to the champion.
Down the Field
- ▲Miko’s climb to second place overall was executed with the quiet efficiency of someone tidying up the podium before the final curtain. A warm ovation is in order.
- ●Virtual tiger refused to let the triple logjam hog the spotlight, firing a sparkling 8-under 28 that stood tall as the day’s finest round outside the lead pack. Minor medals, major respect.
- ☀Fabreeze lalalalala anchored the field with 59 shots of unbothered sunshine, proving once again that the score is a mere detail next to the glow of simply turning up. The Bugle clutches its heart.
